Odisha Nirman Shramik Pakka Ghar Yojana launched by Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on 18 February 2016. As per reports around 50000 homes construction with a cost of 500 crore. In the first phase, Rs 1 lakh will be provided to each registered construction worker under this yojana. The workers who have registered their names under Odisha Building and Other Contruction Workers’ Welfare Board for atleast 3 years can avail the benefit. The Chief Minister also announced that the State Government has decided to set up skill development centres for construction workers in all the 30 districts.
